The King’s Family of Churches, today active with parish churches in more than 30 countries, began as a formal assembly in 2003 when our first bishop was consecrated on December 6th, 2003, and call to establish the Diocese of Benissa. Practices distinctive of the Church include the Convergence of the three traditions of Christianity: Pentecostal, Evangelical and Sacramental/liturgical. Doctrinal distinctive of the Church includes the holiness of God and his creation, a firm belief that salvation is a gift from God through Jesus Christ and the importance of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

As authoritative historical records clearly show, a number of extra-biblical practices entered the early church within few century after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Recognizing that fact, the King’s Family strives to directly mirror the beliefs and practices of the first five century teachings of Jesus, the apostles and the early Church. This leads the Church to choose not to participate in common worship practices and beliefs Christian doctrines that were added without biblical mandate.

The King’s Family is built upon historic church foundations. Our bishops can trace their lines of Apostolic Succession through Anglican, Catholic, and Apostolic lines. Apostolic succession in and of itself does not assure apostolicity or catholicity. But where right doctrine and practice are maintained in continuity with "the faith once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3) -that is, "apostolic tradition"- apostolic succession provides powerful witness to the historic continuation of the earthly governance of God’s Church over the last two millennia. Apostolic Succession also reminds us of the trust that has been committed to us and the responsibility we have to the present an future growth and maintenance of the Church. It reminds us, as well, of the cloud of witnesses who have gone before us and, thereby, quickens our resolve to be faithful in our own time. Apostolic Succession is also a means through which we believe God has conferred grace to us.

Both biblical and secular history record that Christians in the first centuries possessed a strong focus on what Jesus described as the "good news" of the Kingdom of God, and the three traditions of the Church were always present and inter-action between the body of Christ.

In its efforts to mirror that early Church and its original apostolic focus, the King’s Family fully embraces and teaches the same message that Christ and the apostles taught. Indeed, the open mission of the King’s Family, reflecting the direct commands given by Jesus to His disciples in Matthew 28:19-20 and Mark 16:15, focuses on this goal: "Advancing the Kingdom of God."

Today, the King’s Family works constantly to proclaim, preach and teach the message and commandments of Jesus Christ as they establish new congregations through the nations of the world.
